JOE DAVIS and the HISTORY OF A+PROPERTIES

Joe Davis is the CEO of A+ Properties Inc. and owns 100% of the outstanding stock. A+ Properties owns 5 commercial properties – 4 in south central Kentucky and 1 in northern Tennessee. Davis Printing Inc. D/B/A Gerald Printing and Liberty Imaging is the former corporate name of A+ Properties Inc. which is a Sub S corporation.  

When the corporation was operating a printing company, 5 commercial properties were acquired to serve as local offices for customers of the printing company. When the operating assets of the printing company were sold on May 15, 2023, the real estate was not sold but was kept in the corporation now called A+ Properties Inc.

Joe grew up on a small farm in Princeton, Indiana and completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Math at the University of Evansville. While a senior in college, Joe married his wife, Sharon and after graduation began his career at a CPA firm in Indianapolis before enlisting in the Army during the Vietnam era. Joe then obtained an MBA in Finance from Indiana University and his CPA credentials.  

In 1976, Joe began working for Best Lock, a commercial lock manufacturer in Indianapolis, and became Corporate Controller, then President of the Los Angeles subsidiary, and later Vice President of Marketing.  

In 1996, Joe formed the Sub S corporation, Davis Printing Inc., purchased Gerald Printing which was a sole proprietorship and moved his family to the Bowling Green area. In 2006, Gerald Printing was honored by the Better Business Bureau with the Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics in Kentucky. In 2009, Joe was named the Small Business Person of the Year by the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce. Gerald Printing grew over the years and by 2023 had 6 offices and about 90 employees. The operating assets were sold to PG-Gerald LLC in May of 2023. Joe’s current community service includes the Noon Rotary Club, Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital Board, Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Corporation Board, the local Salvation Army Board, Kids on the Block Finance Committee and Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce Ambassador. 

Joe is retired now but manages 5 commercial properties which are leased to PG-Gerald, the current owner of Gerald Printing and Liberty Imaging. Two of the properties are in Bowling Green and one each in Glasgow, Russellville and White House.
